Bearings – three examples

Bearings measure direction of travel from the north, clockwise. There are three points that MUST be considered when working with bearings.

  • Measurememts MUST be done clockwise.
  • All mesurements MUST be done from the North line.
  • Angles MUST be stated in 3 digits: e.g. 38 degrees MUST be written as 038 degrees.
